Chocolate Apple Pie

Ingredients (for 1 baking tin):

  • 1 glass efko Apple Purée pure 370 ml
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g icing sugar
  • 80 g cocoa
  • 3 eggs


Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Grease the baking tin well. Stir the butter. Mix eggs, flour, baking powder, icing sugar, cocoa and efko Apple Purée gradually to form a homogeneous batter. Pour the batter into the baking tin and bake for about 1 hour. 

Let the cake cool short and turn out the cake when it's still warm. Dust the Chocolate apple pie with a little icing sugar after cooling.

Ingredients (for 1 Tarte):

  • 1 glass efko Apfelmus pur ohne Zucker 370 ml
  • 3 tbsp hazelnuts
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pack Tarte- or Quiche Teig
  • 1 tsp butter
Tarte Tin: diameter 24 cm garnishing: icing sugar


Preheat the oven up to 190°. Grease the tin with butter, put the dough in the tin and press around the edge. Cut the surplus dough and lay it aside.

Mix the efko Apfelmus with cinnamon and apply on the floor oft he tarte tin. Chop the hazelnuts and scatter about the Apfelmus. Cut the dough in 0,5 cm wide stripes and spread the Apfelmus Tarte lattice shaped. Bake the tarte 40 minutes in the preheated oven.

If you wish strew the tarte with icing sugar.
